In addition to sending, receiving, and facilitating ACH payments, Dwolla also provides users with a digital wallet where they can store amounts, plus the ability to manage scheduled and recurring payments. In terms of confidentiality, Dwolla allows all customers to review their account details before the payment is submitted or received. Additionally, Dwolla encrypts all information that is sent across its network.

Dwolla pricing is quote-based while a free plan exists. Two paid plans by Dwolla offer additional levels of functionality.

    Skrill is much like the European PayPal version. With Skrill, you can request customer payments and only be charged a 1 per cent transaction fee — much lower than your usual gateway to pay. Users must have a Skrill account with a credit or debit card connected to it to pay. Skrill can also accept foreign payments at a transaction rate of 1.9 per cent. You can store the money in your digital Skrill wallet, or send it directly to your bank account. Even, Skrill lets you attach a purchase button to a website. Safety features provide a scanning tool to prevent fraud.

  1. Payoneer
    The payment gateway provider Payoneer combines all transactions into a single merchant account with the top ecommerce platforms. Payoneer is currently able to accept payments in more than 150 different currencies.     Worldpay, one of the largest providers of retail services in the U.S., provides a payment portal that enables retailers to accept 300 different forms of global payments. The Worldpay payment portal also provides tools for fraud, risk management and analytics. Also, Worldpay combines hundreds of shopping carts, POS, booking systems, and travel systems. Remember that the Worldpay payment gateway allows you to use a Worldpay merchant account.

Worldpay charges 2.9 percent + $0.30 each. Higher-volume traders may, however, qualify for a lower rate of 2.7 per cent + $0.30 per transaction.

  1. BitPay
    There’s BitPay for merchants that trade in cryptocurrency — a payment portal for accepting Bitcoin payments. BitPay allows you to send and receive Bitcoin payments on a website, by email, or via a digital wallet. BitPay can also work anywhere in the world, paying only a 1 per cent fee for all transactions. All processed funds hit your wallet within 48 hours. BitPay also offers a payment dispute resolution system for their clients, and tools for paying back and identity theft.
  2. BluePay
    Next up is BluePay, a provider of payment gateways which has won several awards. Payment gateway BluePay can accept all major credit cards as well as ACH payments. Also, BluePay incorporates all big ecommerce sites, POS systems and payment plugins. Also, advanced control features include logging, batching, recurring payments, returns and voids, and device permissions.

BluePay does not mention exact details about rates on their website. Instead, they say “costs are calculated by a variety of different variables, including the types of cards that you accept, how you process payments, and what data you transmit on the transactions.” BluePay provides tailor-made packages for small, mid-sized, and multinational companies.

    Payeezy is a payment gateway provider operated by First Data — the world’s largest dealer services group.     Payline Data offers a payment portal that directly connects with its retailer accounts, and is compliant with 175 different ecommerce sites and shopping carts. For accept cash, debit and electronic payments, you will use it; manage invoices, and plan recurring payments. Multiple merchant accounts can also be used with the Payline Data gateway.

Specific advantages include saving consumer payment information, handling large amounts of transactions at once (5000 sales in as little as 90 minutes), and inventory management.     Carestream is a UK-based payment gateway service providing an open API, and only a few lines of code can be added to the website. When enabled, all payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, digital wallets and alternative payment methods, will be open to you. What makes CardStream very special is that it’s a white label solution, meaning you can use it to deliver a self-hosted payment experience.

Although the payment gateway for CardStream is not integrated, you are given the option to integrate with several top merchant acquirers, including WorldPay, Elavon, and First Data. The payment network CardStream is secured by DDoS mitigation software. The built-in security settings inside the gateway include the guidelines for AVS, CV2 checks, 3D Secure and velocity checks.
